How do we access people who have registered?

Participants and Hubs

Are we meant to have a team already?

Teams will form through the process. We have practiced facilitating before with Sociocracy  and Appreciative Inquiry  as two distinct frameworks for organising.

• You are encouraged to explore and bring your own questions around governance forwards for collective sense-making.

If we’re part of a team, does that mean we register as a hub?

No, please register as participants. Hubs are a very different role, with the capacity of a physical space to host a hackathon.

Can hubs still enrol (after the deadline of Oct 16)? How can we enrol partners?

The hub enrolment deadline will be respected, although the process is open for all who would like to still participate. The hub enrolment form will reopen once current evaluation process has completed. This is guaranteed to be prio to November 1. Even if we’re not able to support your hub materially, we are going to engage you as fully as everyone else if you would still like to organise:

• Training calls
• Guidance on team formation
• Participation rewards
• Visibility (arguably the most valuable proposition)

Can participants still enrol?

Yes, further registration and enrolment is encouraged before November 1, when the hackathon phase begins. Again, we are noting and recognising the time at which different participants completed their enrolment.

Joining later will require further on-boarding, which your peers can help with.

It’s really important to make the most of the enrolment calls. Please help people to see the material here if they join later.

There are duplications of hubs in the enrolment form.

We will address that promptly. In any case, we will ensure all participants are associated to their respective hubs where relevant, and that numbers will be accurate.

If we’re already part of a group, do we need to disband?

No, if you’re already part of a group, you can carry on with that group.

If we’re not associated to any hub, is that an issue?

No, that’s fine. A hub may emerge through the process and you can also take part just with your teams. There is no disadvantage in evaluation for participating without a hub.
